(Yes, very mature to block me so that I cannot continue the discussion; you are going against your own argument that you are simply trying to have a civil discussion. Please, allow me to continue explaining my point.)
No, in my opinion, you aren't. Why? Because you aren't reproducing the dress or its design. Is this the same as what has happened with Facebook? No. Why? Because images are intangible (unless you print them out, which would be even worse), so reproducing or reposting the image is stealing because, by reproducing a digital copy or reposting it, you are stealing that image, its concept, and its design.
People have actually put their time into their artwork. You're basically saying anyone can just take your lollipop because they want to try the flavor. They're not going to tell anyone they got it from a stranger without their permission.
In other words, you're asking why stealing is such a big deal.
In other words (again), you're asking what the big deal is about people taking your artwork and posting it on many different places without you knowing about it.
Again, you're also saying you're fine with people taking your drawing and posting it on their site and thousands of people thinking they made it. No one will know who made it, no one will care. Is that something you think the creator might not make a big deal out of?
That's not okay, and that is why we created copyright laws. Unlike films, images do not usually come with credits directly on them, so artists have to work even harder so that people know who created it.
Since you haven't noticed, digital and traditional artists have the same copyright laws protecting their work. People aren't allowed to photocopy your drawings, hand them out to people, and say, "Look what I drew!"
If you really think that people don't continue to spread artwork once it's posted elsewhere, then you are even more woefully ignorant on this subject.
